Lavender rose with lighter lavender watermark and white edge
The genetics from Rock of Remembrance goes back to seedlings used 20 years ago. From this rich heritage of award winning daylily parents, we have a wonderful introduction that continues our use of rock/mineral names that started with Upon This Rock, a 2004 introduction.
Rock of Remembrance is an excellent garden plant. The flowers are an unusual color of lavender/rose with a watermark and double edge of lavender and cream. The flower texture is smooth and they open well. Good scape height, nearly ideal bud count, and hardy dormant and vigorous plants make this a great landscape daylily.
As a breeder, the complex genetics hold a great many colors and surprises. We are seeing rich reds and dark purples with ruffled or toothy edges. Easy pod and pollen parent.
