Combining the genetics of Heir to the Throne and Blown Away with the clear colored Shores of Time gave a great new introduction – Sunset Proposal. Like the two famous parents, Sunset Proposal features a blend of color on the petals, a large gold edge with small teeth, easy opening, and hardy dormant foliage. In the garden, Sunset Proposal is a standout with many days with multiple flowers open. The flowers are a brighter pink than either parent but are still a lovely blend of pink and orange. The flowers are fertile both ways and we are starting to see exciting seedlings from Sunset Proposal. Sunset Proposal was named for our son Andrew and his wife Michelle. They became engaged when Andrew surprised Michelle with a romantic proposal on the shores of Green Bay at sunset. We are sure Sunset Proposal will be loved wherever it goes.
